"Bi-Weekly Reflections" is my small journal of events that have gone on throughout the last 2 weeks that I've decided to keep. New updates to this will (hopefully) be posted as soon as possible.
The last few weeks have been seen a lot of changes, but all of them fairly important. For example, on Sunday (7/5), Ashley & I finally signed the lease papers for the apartment and finished getting the ball rolling on our new apartment. We then went to see Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen with her little brother and afterward went to the Sonic drive-thru in Hemet, which was my first time.
Also, Tuesday (7/7), marked the second anniversary of our engagement, and after work she & I went to P.F. Chang's to celebrate. It was also a momentous day as it was the day that, after 2 years, Ashley finally got her braces off and now has a big, beautiful smile - the type I've always loved seeing from her but never really saw much of because she was very conscious of smiling due to the gap between her front teeth.
Wednesday (7/8) was a somewhat-normal work day, except that during my lunch I had to drive to Laguna Hills to turn in the Certificate of Completion that I received from my traffic school to finalize my ticket. Since Ashley & her family were at a beach in Oceanside, I drove down after work and hung out with them for a few hours.
Saturday (7/11) was spent at Six Flags Magic Mountain with my brother as well as Ashley and her little brother. It was Ashley's brother's first time going and he had a blast. We managed to get on every single ride, as well as the new Terminator: Salvation ride, and her little brother went as well. As an added bonus, my parents went as well (though we met with them later in the day). However, leaving the park at the end of the day was a bit of a pain. Even though we left the park at 10:30p, we had dinner at a nearby Del Taco and didn't hit the freeway to head back until 11:30p. Due to 2 traffic jams, one on the I-5 (construction) and a really bad one on the 91 (unknown reason), we didn't get back home until 2:30 in the morning! I was super tired and parked and went straight to bed.
Obviously, Sunday (7/12) was spent resting from the previous day at Six Flags. My legs were sore (especially my ankles), and my voice was gone. I ended up spending a good majority of the day napping though because of the lack of sleep from the night before.
Thursday (7/16) was Ashley's birthday, but unfortunately I had to work that day. In the evening, however, we celebrated a bit by having drinks and dinner. Friday (7/17) though was the day that I spent with her for her birthday. She decided that she had wanted to go have lunch at Rubio's and afterward we went to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. After, we had dinner at T.G.I. Friday's and she ordered a Lava Flow, her first time ordering an alcoholic drink.
With the move to the new apartment coming up, I should've spent Saturday (7/18) packing up things but instead lounged around and coded almost all day, though part of the time was spent setting up my new tablet.
