FIRST!!!

Yes, its the annual First-of-the-Year Post! This is my chance to sit down and plot out my goals for the new year, and 2009 is going to be a doozy. Since 2008's Resolutions were mostly a wash, I'll be incorporating them into my new Resolution and adding maybe a couple more. Here they are:
  • Reduce the number of icons on my desktop
As mentioned in my Twitter post yesterday, I have way to many icons on my desktop, and desperately need to reduce the number of them. Although this could be incorporated into my resolution for "Better organization," I think it deserves a spot of its own since it has become that bad.
  • 1 soda per month (redux)
Yep, its back. This time I'll be a little more adamant on adhering to it.
  • The standard "lose weight" (redux)
    Uh, this one too.
  • Better organization
Yeah, if you saw how I organize my stuff, you'd wonder how it is that I ever find anything. In fact, I wonder the same thing, though more often than not, I don't end up finding what I'm looking for at all its so disorganized.
  • Better money management
Okay, this was a resolution last year, and I did fairly well, though I did end up having quite a bit of trouble during Christmas. But with the economy deteriorating, it would be highly wise to manage my money better. Based on reports of my income and my expenditures from last year, I managed to save nothing, and instead lost (!) $90.82! If that's not an indicator that I really need to shape up on my finances, then I'm not sure what is!
  • Complete projects
Last year I unleashed Twobile unto the world in April, which was one of the biggest accomplishments for me, although many other projects that I proposed had to be put on the wayside while I maintained it. In fact, to this day, I've been working on the next and final release of Twobile 1.x before starting on a huge rewrite of the 2+ year old code with a new, more friendly user interface. However, whilst I've been working on Twobile, I've been coming up with many other very cool ideas that I've been wanting to start on, so it is very possible that this year may be the year I get to start on them. One can only hope.
  • Graduate with my B.S. in Computer Science
I've been waiting for this day for a really, really, really long time.
  • Fix car
Its been more than a year since I was in my minor accident, and to this day it saddens me that I have a huge crack in the front bumper of my car. I hope that with my graduation and the fact that I'll finally be able to work full-time to help pay for it.
  • "Weekly Reflection" posts
Last year I posted to my blog pretty sporadically, and it kind of upsets me. Fortunately, this year, my plan is to make weekly posts reflecting on the craziness throughout the 2009 year rather than posts that sum up almost an entire month. Now, that is not to say that there wouldn't be posts in between where I see fit, but I felt that it would help me remember more things if I wrote nearly every week, utilizing my blog as a journal the way I originally intended it to be.
Well, that's pretty much what I can think of right now. I may add more as the year goes on, but I think this is a fairly good list as it is. What are your Resolutions this year?

Updated 1/6/09: I've decided to add the following to my New Year's Resolutions:
  • Curse Less
I use expletives quite a bit in my daily life, and I think its a horrible habit I've got into since high school and has recently gotten pretty bad. So, as a resolution, I'll be trying to achieve less cursing, if I can't eliminate it at all.
