Recap of the Halo 3 Launch

So, the lines are now gone, and maybe 25% of those who stayed up until midnight are still playing through the game trying to finish it. For those diehard fans, they have probably finished it on the East Coast as it was said that the game is about 10 gameplay hours long. As for myself, all the excitement of last night in getting my Legendary Pack was enough for me, and as soon as I got home I went straight to sleep. Why? Well, for one I have school today and also work, and that requires me to wake up early so that I can drive down to CSUSM.
Last night was pretty fun, with a lot of people excited about the last installment of the Halo Trilogy. Unfortunately, with every major release, there are always those that seem to show up just to ruin other people's time. For instance, there were a few jerks that sat just behind us in line and had no choice but annoy the heck out of everyone else in line by chain smoking cigarettes and cigars. Then, just a little bit later, there was a fight in line between these two testosterone-pumped skinny idiots. And, to top all the shenanignas off that night, a few idiots in their 4x4s decided it would be fun to try to position their vehicles so that it would kind of climb up a lamppost in the middle of the parking lot. Needless to say, someone called the cops and not too long afterwards a swarm of 5 cop cars arrived on the scene. It was the funniest thing in the world when the first cop came into the parking lot at a pretty fast speed and everyone in line pointed to the scene. It was hilarious!
I have a few pictures (I got so caught up socializing that I forgot to take a few pictures and, besides that, my phone's camera couldn't seem to adjust to the lighting since it was too dark) so I'll try posting them a little later today. For all of you still playing Halo 3, please don't ruin it for me - I haven't even been able to pop in the disc yet!

[Edit] Oh, I forgot to mention that my friend AJ and I Twittered the events last night. If you want to check them out, click here for my Twitters and click here for AJ's. Enjoy!

[Update 9/27/07] Well, a few days after I said I'd put them up, here are the couple pictures that I had from the launch we had at the local GameStop. Enjoy!

My section of the line with my fiancee and my friend AJ.
The stupid kids who parked their car up a lamppost. Might be hard to see but if you look closely, you'll see what I'm talking about.
